Senator Chuck Hagel (R-NE), the unRepublican.

It's not often I can find a Republican that I can honestly say good things about, but Chuck Hagel's the exception.

Hagel's going against Bush and his military pipe dream in Iran.

Right on! Senator Hagel, you'd make a great Democrat.

"I think to further comment on it would be complete speculation, but I
would say that a military strike against Iran, a military option, is not a
viable, feasible, responsible option," he added.

"Iran is a complicated issue. I think that a responsible approach to these
challenges is to work closely with our friends and allies, in this case
Pakistan, with the United Nations, with the IAEA," he said, referring to the
Internation Atomic Energy Agency -- the U.N.'s nuclear watchdog.

  1. We have as Americans always wanted to be right. In my opinion they are going to stay until they find a way to be right. (even thought we are dead wrong)We are no better than Germany in WWII when they were killing people for not doing or believing the way we believe. What can we non military, but semi active citizen.

I did not mean that Conservatives are generally stupid; I meant, that stupid persons are generally Conservative. I believe that to be so obvious and undeniable a fact that I hardly think any hon. Gentleman will question it.
