For the Teachers at My Kid's School Who Refuse to Teach Evolution.

Not that scientific evidence will have any effect on their superstitions.

"I refuse to teach evolution", from their elementary science teacher.

"I know I didn't come from no monkeys", from the teacher whose total lesson on the Revolutionary War was each student learning a paragraph from The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere.

"In God We Trust" hanging in the front office.

What fun for students going to school where some of the teachers would rather be preachers.

I'd thought things had changed from when I went to school and the football coach had us attend the First Baptist Church revivals wearing our jerseys, under the threat of not getting to play in the next game if we didn't.

Anyway, the latest fossil discovery fills in one of the gaps between fish and land lubbers.

"Fossil animals found in Arctic Canada provide a snapshot of fish evolving into
land animals, scientists say.
The finds are giving researchers a fascinating
insight into this key stage in the evolution of life on Earth.
US
palaeontologists have published details of the fossil "missing links" in the
prestigious journal Nature.
The 383 million-year-old specimens are described
as crocodile-like animals with fins instead of limbs that probably lived in
shallow water."

  1. What school do your kids attend anyway? Haven't they heard of seperation of church and state? It isn't about being against religion, it's about understanding science. The car that gets them to work was not devined, it came from science. If the teacher didn't come from no monkey then perhaps she should be riding an ass to school.

I did not mean that Conservatives are generally stupid; I meant, that stupid persons are generally Conservative. I believe that to be so obvious and undeniable a fact that I hardly think any hon. Gentleman will question it.
