Rush Limbaugh & Joseph Goebbels: Lies, Propaganda and Riots. Tony Zirkle's Blast to the Past.

Well, it's just obvious isn't it?

The Minister of Propaganda for the Nazis and the Minister of Propaganda for the Republicans and people just eat this crap up.

Hitler's been dead a long time, but there are still plenty of nuts in this country who see him as a hero. An Indiana Republican running for the GOP Congressional nomination, Tony Zirkle, even campaigned, he called it witnessing for Jesus, at a Hitler birthday party.

The Republican party does not really appreciate it when one of their own might give us the idea that Republicans embrace a modern Fascist ideology.
Mr. Zirkel has a few outdated views on race relations, too.

The Republican party chairman for St. Joseph County sharply denounced Tony Zirkle’s suggestion that the United States should debate segregating by race.
While a lot of people on the right might sympathize with Zirkle's notions, they sure don't want the rest of us to think that they do. And not all on the right think like that.
OK, now everyone knows Rush Limbaugh, even the Right's starting to call him an entertainer. But Rush is much more than just an entertainer. He has 14 million listeners out there who rank him right below Jesus.
First I want to give you a couple of quotes from Goebbels.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually
come to believe it
. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the
State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military
consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use
all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the
lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

Sounds familiar doesn't it. We've seen the success of the above statement way too many times. Anything from the Bush Administration or Fox News pretty much follows Dr. Goebbels philosophy.
You'll have to get a kick out of this one. Liberal thinking is the enemy.
Our first task in this ministry will be to win the whole people for the new
state. We want to replace liberal thinking with a sense
of community that includes the whole people."
So thinking for yourself is, to a right winger, subversive.
I think that we all can agree that Limbaugh and Goebbels are in general agreement on these things.
Now Rush is wanting to start a riot in Denver at the Democratic National Convention.
He explained on-air: "Riots in Denver at the Democrat Convention would see to it
we don't elect Democrats," Limbaugh said. "And that's the best damn thing (that)
could happen for this country as far as anything I can think."
He's now trying to pass it off as a dream, which he mentions. But I believe, "That's the objective here.", is the key statement in his little tirade.
Here it is, judge for yourself.
Now I know that the Right revises history instead of studying it. So I want to leave them with a little snippet from the Nurnburg trials.
[MR. JUSTICE JACKSON continues his cross examination of State Secretary Paul Koerner]
Q. Did he have any idea who had started them?
A. It had been said that Goebbels had instigated these riots.
Q. Did he know that the Gestapo and S.S. also participated?
A . I do not know. As far as I know the S.S. did not participate.
Q. Did the Gestapo?

A. No, I do not know this either.

Q. So he went to Hitler to complain about Goebbels instigating these riots, is that the fact?
A. Yes, that is correct.
If there are riots in Denver, which I doubt, we'll damned sure know who was instigating them.
Hope you're having a good weekend.
I know that we call it Nuremberg, but I was stationed there for a year and it's Nurnberg.

I did not mean that Conservatives are generally stupid; I meant, that stupid persons are generally Conservative. I believe that to be so obvious and undeniable a fact that I hardly think any hon. Gentleman will question it.
